Microsoft Office Island

As you may know, I Get It! Development has been developing a presence in Second Life, a 3D world entirely imagined and built by its residents.
Microsoft held a major product launch in-world April 26th, 2008. This picture is of one of the three stadiums used to present the new features in Windows Server 2008, SQL Server 2008, and Visual Studio 2008.

I Get It! Development got ready for the launch by creating MS Office Island - a part of the main Microsoft island. We placed a number of interactive kiosks with informational videos and articles around our area and created a presentation pavilion.

This is a picture of the author manning the area during the product launch. WARNING: People in Second Life may be far less cool than they appear.
