Format Hyperlinks in Word
Hyperlinks have two parts: the part that the reader sees and the part
that the computer acts on.
While this will certainly work, it isn't much to look at!
In your Word document containing hyperlinks, right-click on any hyperlink
and you should see the dialog box below.

Circled in blue is the Text To Display. You should type something that
fits into your sentence like "well formatted". (see our final sentence with
hyperlink below!)

BTW, try not to use "Click Here" as that phrase went out long ago.
You don't have to change the Address, circled in red, since you have
already set that properly. The arrow points to a ScreenTip which you can use
to provide a clue to your reader what they can expect at the other end of
the link. The ScreenTip appears if your reader hovers the mouse over your
hyperlink.
With the changes above made, our opening paragraph becomes
| At I Get It! Development, we hope to see hyperlinks of the
well formatted type embedded in Word documents more
frequently! |
Although we chose Word to illustrate the embedding and formatting of
hyperlinks, these features work in all Microsoft Office programs.
